The Dreaded Retake, Part Three

To all my faithful bloggers and prayers:

I am happy to announce that the results are in and I passed my retake! (And I didn't even have to retype any answers!) This means that I can finally check the entrance exam requirement off my to do list. Thanks to all who prayed and continue to pray for me. This Phd process is certainly a difficult one, the biggest challenge I have ever faced. Some days I think that I am not cut out for it and honestly wonder if I have the ability to finish. These snippets of good news help me keep going, as do your faithful prayers.

Hey, Jackson, that is GREAT!!!
Congratulations and praise God!

Are you cut out for it? About as much as anyone could be, if you ask me. But I know that would mean more to you coming from someone who was not your mother!

I won't repeat my oft-used phrases regarding Moses' qualifications (not that I'm comparing you to Moses), or such snippets about qualifying the chosen, etc. etc. But just put this in your pipe and smoke it again (or not)
2 Corinthians 12:9.
Enjoy your weekend! Love, MomK

Hey Jackson, glad to hear you passed man! I was praying for you. As to whether or not you are cut out for this I remember a little phrase someone said to me in wrestling with my calling. "God does not call the prepared he prepares the called." I can tell from your posts that you are wrestling with some great stuff and God is going to use it!!

Jackson,
Hi...Julie's student here...(apparently, and against my will, she told you I've been reading your blog) So...here I am to post. Most of it is over my head, but it continues to stretch me, challenge me, and grow me.
I'm so thankful to here the outcome of your exam. And look forward to many more posts. (and hopefully some more commenting!)
Thanks for the blog Jackson,
Olivia

Congratulations, dear friend! I am so glad you passed the test and are pressing forward. I am confident that this is the way God has asked you and Julie to walk in and He will be faithful to you both throughout. I think that the challenges you face along the way will only serve to keep you the humble person you are. You're a lifetime learner (as we all should be!) and you have a heart like His...God can use a man (and a woman!) like that.

Thanks for all of your encouragement everyone. And welome abord Olivia. Let me just say that you guys at Auburn are blessed to have Julie as a leader. Ask her what she thinks of the song "Silent Night."
