Jackson: Your last 2 posts were so deep, I have felt inadequate to even comment. I love reading them, but to offer a constructive suggestion or even an intelligent thought, I don't feel capable of.

When you talked about the authentic community, I could identify with that post, but the last 2 have me scratching my head saying, WO, this guy is way beyond me in his understanding of these early Church Fathers. I always thought heretics were lunatics that put down the beliefs of the church whenever they could. The passage you quoted from a so-called heretic sounded like a fully faithful individual.

Where does that put one such as me who can't even intelligently respond to your blog??? Scary thought, I certainly don't want to be branded a heretic.

I am incapable of even creating a poem that will bring a smile to your face. Wo is me, I am happy and satisfied that my faith in Jesus being my savior doesn't have to be complicated at all. I will leave the theology to the very intelligent and read along and admire all of the learned individuals that are partaking in the amazing blog!!! jackie

Very creative poems Mark and Kathleen (mom). You both make good Methodists, as John and Charles Wesley understood that the best theology is done in poetic or hmynal form. Incidentally (on a more nerdy note), you would also make good Syriacs, who did all of their theological writing in poetry. Nothing like poetry to help us realize that good theology is always worship.
